The railing in the cabin was not done by the Steiners. It was commissioned by the current owner and created by a local craftsman in a style that fits well in a Steiner cabin. The original railing had straight rungs of round stock that were spaced too far apart to be reassuring with grandchildren playing there.

-Jeff A.Jeff A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17142319281369256851noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335321786750265682.post-90480832297482389362012-05-31T18:20:17.106-07:002012-05-31T18:20:17.106-07:00Beautiful craftsmanship in that cabin. Those yellow blooms smell like sweet pineapple. We have one in our garden and love it. It's huge! No summer water needed. It's in full bloom right now. Don't you love Edgefield's gardens? We've been visiting those gardens since they began developing them and every year we see new things. That door in the garden is one of my favorite things, but the plant combinations are stellar. There's something of interest all year round in those gardens.LeLohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15073317400749817075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335321786750265682.post-88080652459281703272012-05-29T20:08:30.767-07:002012-05-29T20:08:30.767-07:00Wow. I used to have it but I planted it in the wrong place, took it out and it died. It's a nice plant though. I love those old troughs. Love those bunnies.
