The way the flowers stand out, they look almost as if the plant is covered in butterflies. Lots of blooms for such an early time in the season, very nice.Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04563840922463701366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335321786750265682.post-77916961276137045832010-03-18T16:51:42.948-07:002010-03-18T16:51:42.948-07:00Jane~~ I'm seeing those PJMs around town. But early spring is perfect when we're all so color-starved. Your Ribes is outstanding and the Scilla is one I might need to round up for myself. Love it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335321786750265682.post-53760958060180632632010-03-17T19:20:30.757-07:002010-03-17T19:20:30.757-07:00everything looks great! I was not familiar with the Ribes, it looks quite nice, and if you are only going to have one Hellebore at least it is a lovely one.Leshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18281256160705697856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5335321786750265682.post-47118503451785380522010-03-15T19:48:33.132-07:002010-03-15T19:48:33.132-07:00Great blooms! I have it under the Ericaceae.
Have they changed the names lately?
You have quite a few of those sub-shrubs.
And an unusal scilla. Your ribes is so early. Ours doesn't even show leafbuds yet.
The flowers on the kinnick plant resemble those of the Arbutus unedo.
